What Is A Thermoset?
Adj. 1. thermoset - having the property of becoming permanently hard and rigid when heated or cured; "the phenol resins and plastics were the original synthetic thermosetting materials"

Molding Equiptment | Complete Molding Solution
Automatic Material Loading - Resin material can be loaded automatically into the press, thus allowing your machine operator to accomplish other important tasks. The loading of your material can be semi-automatic or fully automatic. An extruder can be used to accurately measure the shot size and then the shot can be manually loaded in the transfer pot or mold cavity. If you need a fully automatic system, a feeder assembly can be used to automatically load the material in the press.
Mold Design/Presses - A press designed to your exact specifications. We have the expertise to build the right press for your application. In addition, we can offer you a complete package to include custom made molds for the parts you are manufacturing.
Automated Parts Handling - The molded parts can be moved from one operation to the next using a conveyor system. If needed, a robot can be incorporated into the system, to move the parts from one operation to the next. The parts handling system can eliminate the need for an operator to move parts from once operation to the next.
Deflashers - A deflashing system designed to give you a quality finished product. We have several designs available to meet your needs. To provide a quality, finished product - a deflashing machine can be incorporated into the process. This is a self-contained machine with a blast chamber, parts wash down chamber, cyclone separator, and dust collector.
Corona Beam Testing - We have the techonology available to inspect the finished parts. If they are critical items, we can detect any anomalies in the part and reject any that do not meet your specifications.
We are able to tie all of these processes together with an automated parts handling system. This system will increase production, reduce the number of operators required, and ensure you are only shipping quality parts to your customers.

Transfer Presses
T Series transfer presses offer the optimum combination of manufacturing flexibility and precision control. Ideal for precise, highly repeatable molding, they accommodate small, intricate shapes, including parts with thin walls, fragile inserts and close-tolerance buildup dimensions. Available in standard models from 6 tons to 250 tons, presses and auxiliary equipment can also be custom-engineered to your materials, process and production requirements. High output, high yield presses are designed with small footprints across all models

Compression
Hull Industries, Inc. compression presses are available in tonnages ranging from 15 to 2000 tons, in both upward or downward clamping configurations. Standard controls include PID temperature controllers, built into the PLC, and accessible through the touch screen interface. These controllers provide accurate temperature control of multiple heat zones. Precise cycle control assures high yield, consistent quality.

Automatic Compression Presses
These presses are available in sizes from 75#45;300 tons clamp force. This is a fully automatic press that will maximize productivity. You can shorten cycle times by adding a parting line module. This module pre-plasticizes the material for faster curing. Independent upper and lower hydraulic ejection are a standard feature.

Shuttle Presses
The shuttle press is a high production rate press for parts requiring the operator to load intricate inserts into the mold. The mold consists of two lower halves with a common top half. Inserts can be loaded in one bottom half as the other is curing. A PLC is used for easy cycle and temperature set up, through an operator touch screen interface. Presses are available in either electric or hydraulic configurations.

Injection Presses
Available in 25, 45, 80, 110, 200, 300, and 600 ton capacities. Some of the features of the 110 Series Press are: a fully jacketed barrel with multi-zone heating for precise temperature control, multiple injection pressures for filling and curing cycles, degassing and sprue break cycles, and a fast cool down cycle. The 110 Series Press is available with either a screw or plunger injection unit to be used with Bulk Molding Compounds (BMC). A BMC stuffer comes standard with the machine when BMC material is used. Hull has offered this injection unit and stuffer to the plastics industry since the early 1970's.
Custom Presses and Equipment
Hull Industries, Inc. in conjunction with their sister company, Chant Engineering is capable of designing and building special presses and auxiliary equipment requiring both automation and robotics.
